Many people do not realize the importance of a good conscience for us as believers. Indeed, if we understood the meaning of a good conscience biblically, then we would not have so much confusion about the writings of the Apostle Paul (Sha’ul).
Sha’ul was literally telling us how to walk in the spirit of the law (not in the letter), which leads us into obedience to the law. The conscience is what he means by “the law written in our hearts.”
Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;)
Romans 2:15
Indeed, this was long prophesied for us in the book of Jeremiah.
But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith YAHUAH, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their Aluah, and they shall be my people.
Jeremiah 31:33
The law being put in our inward parts and written in our hearts is us walking in the spirit of the law.
So with this understanding in mind, this episode connects Babylon today, and the importance of a good conscience. Why is it important. what can we learn from this? Let’s listen.
